Putting the mass into Christmas, ‘City Of Christmas Ghosts’ is an anthemic lament for lost friends at this most contrasting time of year. Surrounded by the plastic and polyurethane of Christmas, it captures memories of years gone by and the flickering memories of lost friends.

The duet between John Robb and Poly Styrene was first released in 2020 and has become a cult classic over the years; the new version sees a compelling sax part from X Ray Spex legend Lora Logic entwined around the vocals in the classic style that made that much loved band so vital.

The song of heartbreak and the sensual, warm glow of memory is the true heart and soul of Xmas captures a raw nerve at a time of year when time stands still. It captures the true heart and soul of the year's end and the ghost like memories before event that is drowned out by the plastic baubles.

Played out over a classic wall of sound with castanets, a big chorus and Poly’s distinctive vocal counterpointing John Robb’s, ‘City Of Christmas Ghosts’ is a poetic celebration of the true heart and soul of the humanity of the time of year.
